About Lilyum

Real engineering experience meets AI innovation.

Our Story

Lilyum was born from a simple observation: most AI consultants have never actually built anything. They talk about transformation and disruption, but they've never shipped a product, met a deadline, or dealt with the messy reality of real-world constraints.

We're different. With 20 years of hands-on automotive engineering experience—writing requirements, managing suppliers, navigating ISO 26262 compliance, and actually building things—we understand what it takes to make AI work in the real world.

Our mission is to bring practical AI solutions to industries that have been underserved by technology: automotive companies drowning in documentation, farms that need simple tools instead of complicated systems, and individuals with disabilities who could benefit from AI assistance.

Why "Lilyum"?

The lily flower represents growth, renewal, and transformation. Just as a lily grows from mud to become something beautiful, we help organizations grow through the messy process of change to emerge stronger with AI as a natural part of how they work.

Brent Rupert

Founder

Brent brings 20 years of automotive product engineering experience to Lilyum. He's worked with some of the biggest names in the industry—Stellantis (Chrysler), Ford, and Rivian—as well as innovative startups like Slate Auto and Betterfrost.

His expertise spans requirements engineering, functional safety (ISO 26262), and product development processes. But more importantly, he's been in the trenches, dealing with the day-to-day challenges of building physical products.

The move into AI consulting isn't a pivot—it's an evolution. Brent has been building AI tools for engineering workflows and sees enormous potential for these technologies to transform how work gets done.

Personal Connections

Agriculture: Brent's wife is a farmer, giving him firsthand insight into the challenges and opportunities in agricultural technology.

Accessibility: A family member lives with a brain injury, which drives Brent's passion for developing AI tools that can help people with cognitive challenges.
